The Edison & Ford Winter Estates is a world class cultural and educational resource honoring the innovation and creativity of two of America’s most influential individuals – Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. The 15,000 square foot (air conditioned) Estates Museum inspires imagination, encourages intellectual exploration and stimulates the senses with galleries featuring an impressive collection of inventions, artifacts and special exhibits.

Visitors to the Edison & Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers can enjoy 20 acres of historical buildings, beautiful gardens, Edison Botanic Research Lab and the Estates Museum. The newly restored Edison buildings include the Main House, Guest House and Caretaker’s House. The 1929 historic landscape is evident throughout property including the award winning Moonlight Garden. The Estates Museum has an impressive collection of inventions, artifacts and special exhibits. National Register Historic Site and Winner of the National Trust for Historic Preservation Stewardship Award of a Historic Site. Guided and self-guided tours and audio tours available in English & German. Maps available in English, German , French and Spanish.
